Dear Mr. Eckett,
Please refer to my letter of the
12th September about British Military Administration advances made to Messrs. Bailey and Company Limited.
I enclose a copy of a savingram from
Hong Kong on this subject from which you will see that despite the fact that as a result of the liquidation of the company, certain assets are available, the Governor recommends that no action should be taken to raise a claim.
I will let you know as soon as we hear more about the outstanding £72 in connection with the Hong Kong and Whampoa Dock Company Limited.
Yours sincerely,
A.W.T. ECKETT, ESQ.,
